More-on Boldly

Just guessing I would say overall, everyone is experiencing  a good deal of fear these days, probably for many reasons. Again, just guessing, I would say a lot of that fear is connected to the future.  What is going to happen, and nobody really knows. But I also feel pretty certain that the future is our only option, because with a little reflection you have to agree that the past is really not a direction we can go.  So whether we go boldly  or bold-lessly,  we pretty much have to go. For me personally, I feel like it's best if we all try and do it, that is,  go into the future, together.  All together, I think, will make it a bit, maybe just a little bit,  easier.

Duality, Irony, and Today

Reminds me of the Beatles, anyway, One of the most stern warnings in post WWII about " duality " occurs in the following book: The_Human_Use_of_Human_Beings by  Norbert_Wiener I think of it really as the warning label on computer technology. In my humble opinion reading that book while listening to Tel star by the Ventures     you might miss something ...         And so we have a culture which has been focused on stark concepts of duality, which is addressed to a certain extent in the above book.   There is another important book I believe on this subject by David Bohm, which also discusses these ideas in various ways. The issue of course is how real, is the reality we construct based on a high degree of dualism, meaning how starkly we draw a distinction between " right and wrong ", " good and bad ", " real and un-real " or more simply " 0/1 " .... Mathematically you can state the 0 and 1 represent a  translation >>>...

Memories

It is interesting to note, America was not invented in 2021. It is really kind of a --- long --- story ... But today on Democracy Now the lives of two courageous American lives were remembered. Ladonna Brave Bull Allard: https://www.democracynow.org/2021/4/12/remembering_ladonna_brave_bull_allard Ramsey Clark: https://www.democracynow.org/2021/4/12/remembering_ramsey_clark

Fear and Ego

This must be mostly about what I don't know about this topic. Simply, I am trying to assert there is a link between these two parts of our lives, without specifically explaining how or why there may be such a link. For this post , however, I think it is important to consider how great an impact fear has on our lives if we are residing in these - shores?  And I can reflect for myself how great an impact it has had throughout my life.  If you experience very little fear, then perhaps you know someone for whom it has had a greater impact. As far as ego is concerned, I view it more as a signal.  Of course fear you can also view as a type of signal, but generally it is a variety of signals, and many of  those, you can sometimes ignore. These signals, fears and  ego , it seems to me, to intertwine is various ways. Of course we are always dealing with this ... And of course we are always attentive, but it seems to me, that the now of now, requires us to dig a lit...

Mathematics

During national humor month, I guess it is kind of hard to write about mathematics, 'cause of course sometimes it just ain't that funny.  Sometimes it ain't that funny at all.  Sometimes, of course, it is really hilarious. Of course mathematics, like music, like physiology, like psychology, or like horticultural, or pharmacology,  or anthropology, or carpentry ... is a pretty deep subject.  Sometimes I ask myself why ? That's all I got, but none of this is very funny ... Then again it could be hilarious. But of course April takes a long time ... Hopefully,  I will get there before the end of the month ... What would we do without hope?

Bolder

And the first post of National Humor Month or national humor month.  I can't think of anything at all funny .... but I am stuck on bolder ... It has to do with my theory about how, it has always seemed to me if there is a purpose to the " universe ", it must be the collection of adjectives, and bolder has got to be up there with adjectives. So this is just a plug for bold less , the more underused   relation to bold ... Like what was the most bold less or bold-less event you remember in the last 25 years?
