Are ideas like birds or rocks?
So, I have been struggling with " loose ends ", for a while, and now
I am trying to do something worse than a loose end, this is going
to be like a loose end, without much hope of resolution.
First to note that life generally has a lot of ideas connected with it.
A simple example is " where are my keys ". I get this idea then I
go search for my keys, which sometimes are easier to find than others.
But certainly there are many ideas that we are involved with. Ideas
on many subjects usually connected in some way with our lives,
like relationships, interactions, objectives, many things.
Back to the previously mentioned loose ends, one thing to consider,
is my loose end was an idea, principally, but one element of the
idea was other ideas , principally the idea of democracy, which
although it is also thought of as, say , a system of governance. But
clearly a system is an idea principally, although it is implemented
with eliminates of what we call life.
So let's just start with : rocks and birds, which are ideas but also something
we call real. Are ideas like rocks. Well, it's pretty " subjective " don't you
think? To me it seems like ideas , are quite bird like, because they do seem
to come and go a lot. Of course you say, I think, but the question certainly
arises, what is this "I" that is thinking?
But certainly there is some kind of rock like aspects to ideas as well. For
example, it seems like you can examine them, review them. Maybe they are
more like clumps of clay than brittle rock, but you know, it seems
like you can mold them in ways.
Anyway, I am not sure... Something to think about? No?
