A theory

 Need context, or premise.  Premise: do not go through the wall, go around it.

Context:


Once upon a time there was someone who suggested a particular organization could

be great.  And of course there was considerable hoopla about this, without any mention

of exactly what that meant.  Nevertheless, there were many who were committed to it.


Now, I have mentioned about disease and how it was necessary to, that, if you have a disease

well then, you have to get better.  Okay, so if you have to get better you might as well just

go all the way and be great.  You see then it doesn't really matter what organization you

were associated with, just by being associated with it , it would be great.


It's just a theory , however.  No real substantial science is available at this time to

determine whether in fact this particular theory has any merit , what so ever.

Zen and fighting

Well, this has to do with: Bodhidharma    who many believe lived in the area of the Shaolin monaster y . as you see in the above link of the life of Bodhidharma. So, we find an interesting correlation between the concept of " fighting ", and what is considered by many to be "spirituality".   Well, tomorrow is a a big day for Baha'i's throughout the world. the celebration of the ascension , 100 anniversary,   Abdul' Baha   .   Interesting connection, hard to spell both names. Anyway, to me, Zen translates to practice and not necessarily " achievement ", which to my mind is more like a goal, and goals change based on achievements.  Goals are a whole 'nother thing. So back to fighting and Zen, I think it's not hard to  put this together.  Back to Bodhidharma and Abdul'-Baha, one difference is you can spell check Bodhidharma.  Also there is a major confluence of these ideas, fighting, struggle, practice, service, and teac...

Is life fair?

 So this is a hard one, and one that you could go on, and on about. I am going to address it from simply three angles. Certainly many will argue that life is NOT fair, mainly because good things happen to bad people and vice versa.  So that is an argument that might suggest, that well, maybe not so fair. However, from the standpoint of biology you might get a different perspective.  In biology the Tree of Life, is a big deal, and I would argue even a bigger deal for biologist, than the Big Bang, for physics.  So the question would come down to are trees fair? Using the metaphor of Tolkien, the trees played a big role in the battle for middle earth, and therefore could definitely be described as the good guys from that narrative.  Beyond that there could be other arguments, that lots of people like trees, and get particular enjoyment from them.
