Life is easy/hard - a 2021 style rant
Okayz, if I am blogging in the middle of the night , it might be a rant, but
before I start ranting I am going to start with context.
If you have a gauge, like a fuel gauge, you know that if the notches for
the gauge are close together, depending on the angle you read the gauge
you can misread it. So when you read, the gauge of life, you can say
it is hard or easy depending on the angle you read it, and in physics,
this is something like " superposition ", light can be a wave or a particle
depending on how you read the gauge and you could also say this is
almost "complementary" but I'm not going to push it that hard.
More context, if you are a Baha'i you might know that we are in the "midst" of
Mulk. Mulk is a Baha'i month that means -- Dominion, and at the end of this
I will get to a reading for Mulk --- which talks about nature as a reflection of
the Will of God. Now, we often speak of the study or observation of nature
as science. When I say Mulk, you could also kind of think an astrological
symbol, but there are 19 of them, and as Baha'is we are in a constant struggle
to figure out what it means ---
Now we are entering rant time:
I have said before that we have to " transform " or culture to a culture of
learning, meaning in America, but really it doesn't need to be limited to
that. Learning like life can be easy or hard depending on how you read
that gauge, but I believe necessary, and what is important that we learn
is about a 2-fold moral purpose, like the 8-fold way, but less ways ...
Now this is about becoming better, as well a serving others. As the
Dali Lama, mentioned at the beginning of the year if you want to be
happy, you need to have compassion, the ability to serve others.
This could also be work, depending on how you read that gauge.
End of rant: beginning reading -----
Say: Nature in its essence is the embodiment of My Name, the Maker, the Creator. Its manifestations are diversified by varying causes, and in this diversity there are signs for men of discernment. Nature is God's Will and is its expression in and through the contingent world. It is a dispensation of Providence ordained by the Ordainer, the All-Wise. Were anyone to affirm that it is the Will of God as manifested in the world of being, no one should question this assertion. It is endowed with a power whose reality men of learning fail to grasp. Indeed a man of insight can perceive naught therein save the effulgent splendour of Our Name, the Creator. Say: This is an existence which knoweth no decay, and Nature itself is lost in bewilderment before its revelations, its compelling evidences and its effulgent glory which have encompassed the universe. (Bahá'u'lláh: Tablets of Baha'u'llah, Page: 142)
